 Combs Cemetery    (Izard County, Arkansas)

Welcome

This site is dedicated to preserving the history of the Combs Cemetery and making information available to family members, friends, and researchers.  Although there are other "Combs Cemeteries", this web site is dedicated entirely to the Combs Cemetery located in Izard County Arkansas, approximately 2 miles west of Melbourne on Jumbo Road.

Combs Cemetery had its beginning in 1883 with the donation of a 5-acre parcel of land by Robert Combs.  In June of 1887, Edna Elizabeth (Campbell) Combs, the wife of Robert Combs, was buried at Combs Cemetery.

The Combs Cemetery web site was created by and is maintained by:

  • Dr. Brad Combs: Great, great-grandson of Robert Combs.
  • Charlton Combs: Great, great, great-grandson of Robert Combs.

Please Note: A number of updates are planned in 2008 for this website.  If you have information on recent burials that should be included, please feel free to submit the information via any of the "Contact Us" links throughout this website or by e-mail to: bc@combscemetery.com
